Record Store Day is April 18th!!
Record Store Day this year is Saturday, April 18th. We will be open from 8 am - 8 pm with TONS of exclusive vinyl RSD releases and 20% off used records. Some of the awesome things coming out on RSD are:
The White Stripes - Get Behind Me Satan. It's a double LP on red and white colored 180 gram vinyl, with a 3D lenticular gatefold, and digital download. This is the first time it's being issued on vinyl. We ordered over 100 copies!!!!! It is very limited, and you can only get it at independent record stores.
The Dead Milkmen’s snotty but genius “Beelzebubba” album, which includes the epic love song “Punk Rock Girl,” It's limited to 3900 Blue & random 100 White Colored Vinyl.
Brand New’s super exclusive release “Deja Entendu” on heavyweight vinyl with digital download and lyric book, patch, sticker sheet, and paper bag outer sleeve. It's limited to 1500 copies, but we ordered LOTS!!!
Phish - New Year's Eve 1995, Live at Madison Square Garden. The legendary performance is the first live concert released by Phish on vinyl. It's issued as a six lp box set on 180 gram vinyl, and limited to 4500 copies!!!
But there is so much more: For the whole RSD list, click here! And we ordered LOTS of it!! Check our Facebook page 24-48 hours before doors open and we will have photos posted of the records and their placement in the store.
How RSD works: We are not allowed to sell any exclusive RSD releases before 8 am. We do not take reservations and cannot hold items. That means that those who wait in line will be rewarded! Limit one per person please on all exclusive RSD releases!
Swag Bags will be given out until they run out (usually the first 100-150 people get one.) This year's swag includes goodies from Audio Technica & CD102.5, RSD exclusive stuff like music samplers, as well as wax from Columbus' own Orchestraville.
Explorer's Club will be bringing the food truck starting at 6 am.
We will have two registers going again and lots of helpers. We encourage shoppers to PLEASE PAY WITH CASH which helps everyone get through the line faster!
Street parking is pretty ample around our store and free until 9am. The free lot is the gravel one we share with B1 Bikes.
Thanks for supporting your downtown Columbus record store and all the awesome little record stores in Columbus. This is truly a great vinyl town!!!
